My mom, and her dad, on a porch somewhere in Iowa, around 1930. Today would have been Mom's 94th birthday. Probably my favorite photo in the family collection.

This one appears to have a story. I just don't know it. The town may or may not be Carroll. I have a handful of photographs which date from Mom's childhood in western Iowa. We can safely assume all of 'em date from the 1930s. Unfortunately, I don't know much more than I just told you about most of the set....

Probably Dedham, Iowa, 1930s. From my mother's collection; she grew up in Carroll. Information about the bus would be welcome--leave a comment if you know anything. Thanks. Photographer and camera unknown. Scan updated--but still not good--12/20/05.
