Anchorage to my place in about 19 hours. Via Indianapolis, Grand Rapids, and Lansing. Not bad at all. But what mode of transportation takes 3 days to move a box from Shanghai to Anchorage?

Here's the view when we got home tonight. The really obvious gains are the railings, steps to the landing, and a ceiling on the porch. The guys were about to install a lot of trim, but it's too dark now to show that. Perhaps I'll catch it tomorrow.... What's left? Finish up the trim, siding on the front, a new overhead lamp "inside," & (I think) eaves troughs. Later we'll stain the deck and modify the (brick) sidewalk. Spring's coming. I can feel it.
