"On Poppied Hill" is a bronze and aluminum tableau cast by Seward Johnson in 1999. As is the case with a number of Johnson’s works it is inspired by a well-known nineteenth-century painting – in this case, the Claude Monet painting, "Woman with a Parasol - Madame Monet and Her Son" (1875).
