"This music crept by me upon the waters" (The Tempest, by Shakespeare); or, rather, I ignorantly passed over the Schumann Fantasia for many decades before recently coming to love it. I heard this recording of Richter at Abbey Road Studios in online quality and decided I must have a real CD copy: even if I had to get it from Japan! I would happily have this CD as my grave goods. The CD also includes The Tempest Sonata by Beethoven. In another life I played that Sonata to a panel of senior professors at the RAM in London. They are all dead now, so it is too late for me to apologise.

I found the red top and the colour of the label with its splash of gold irresistible, had to make a picture of it. Raw DNG processed to JPEG using RawTherapee 4.
