Plaque commemorating a visit to Bratislava by the 19th Century piano virtuoso Franz Liszt (1811 - 1886). (Pronounced like List.) Liszt's piano music covers 99 CDs. He also composed a fair quantity of orchestral music. Needless to say not everything is a masterpiece but where he is good, he is very very good.

Apparently this is not intended to be Napoleon despite the figure being fitted with a Napoleon style hat.
This statue is found in the main square (Hlavne namestie) in Bratislava.

Schone Naci was a well known figure in the early 20th century. A poor and mentally ill man, he paraded the streets of Bratislava in old, but elegant attire - a velvet frock, greeting passers-by with his top-hat and bowing courteously to ladies passing by.
This statue is found by the main square (Hlavne namestie) in Bratislava.

Statue commemorating St Elizabeth of Hungary, 1207 - 1231. She spent her childhood in Bratislava. After taking a vow of poverty in mid-life, she devoted herself to tending the poor and the sick.

Looking roughly north east from the Castle. St Nicolaus Church is in the foreground. The dull square building in the distance is the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and the high tower behind the trees is the Bank of Slovakia. In the far distance can be seen the high-rise apartments where people live. Beyond them is Malé Karpaty - the 'Little Carpathians'. These are a low mountain range about 100 km long forming part of the Carpathian Mountains.

Svätopluk I or Svätopluk the Great of Moravia. This statue in the forecourt of Bratislava Castle (Bratislavský hrad) was erected in 2010. It was controversial and provoked demonstrations.
