Unstern! Sinistre, Disastro!

Title plagiarised from Franz Liszt. (His wild, avant garde, experimental piano piece of 1885). The title translates from the German/French/ Italian: Unlucky! Sinister, Disaster! He wanted to 'cast a lance into the future' and anticipate what future piano music might be like. You have only to hear 20th century music by Prokofiev and Bartok to realise how near to the mark Liszt was. Part of my Bronica test project, film number 2 (Ilford FP4+).

Franz Liszt played here (Bratislava)

Plaque commemorating a visit to Bratislava by the 19th Century piano virtuoso Franz Liszt (1811 - 1886). (Pronounced like List.) Liszt's piano music covers 99 CDs. He also composed a fair quantity of orchestral music. Needless to say not everything is a masterpiece but where he is good, he is very very good.
