On Saturday, June 2, my good friend, Alan Cressler, and I made a trip to a very remote mountain bog in northeast Georgia. I swear it was uphill both ways, but Alan says not. We found Georgia's only native population of the rare, Mountain Purple Pitcher Plant in pretty good shape. Along the way, there were a couple of other surprises.
