Another trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The target species on this trip was Liparis loeselii or Loesel's Twayblade orchid . In addition to finding a nice population of this species in full bloom, we also found a couple of other orchid species as well as some other colorful wildflowers, and one very colorful critter.

On the last day of Spring, 2019, I was joined by Walter Ezell on a photographic adventure along the Blue Ridge Parkway in western North Carolina. We managed to locate six orchid species, five of which were in bloom. Not a bad day...
