If trees could speak they would say: "When the weather is dry I will require extra water (dish/bath/vegetable/rain water) over the next few months. Please water me first thing in the morning or at dusk. I am watered by contractors but I will need extra help throughout the year." Must remember to put the washing-up water in a bottle next time I'm passing that way (and make sure it's in the morning or at dusk...)
