Jen Pedler's photos with the keyword: Water Lane

On the opposite corner of Water Lane to the previous photo - (silver & bronze) ghost sign. This one is slightly more decipherable (see notes for the bits I can make out). According to the 1912 Stratford Trade Directory the Eastern Counties Dairy Farmer’s Co-operative Society Limited was located on Water Lane so this must be something to do with that. The top of the wall appears to have been rebuilt so the sign may previously have extended above what is visible now. (Apologies for the rather intrusive lampost - I couldn't find a way to avoid it and get the complete sign in...)
