Through Petts Wood

The Daylight Inn

A welcome pint at the end of the walk. The significance of the name of this pub is that William Willett, campaigner behind the summertime act of 1925, came from nearby Chiselhurst and there's a memorial to him in Petts Wood which frustratingly, despite wandering around in the area where we thought it should be, we failed to find.

Stifling suburbia

At the end of the walk we trekked through the suburban streets of Petts Wood on our way to the station. I think we might have avoided some of this if we hadn't gone through the subway (see previous pic).

Subway to Pett's Wood

We weren't supposed to go through here, we should have turned right for Jubilee Park. Maybe we thought we'd get to the pub sooner this way but instead we ended up slogging through suburbia (see next pic).
