To Highgate & Hampstead Lane.
Complete with manicule and two dots under the Rd.
Unfortunately there's a lampost very close to the wall on the left of the sign that obscures the name when you try to take a straight on view. (At least, it seemed that way to me. Maybe someone will prove me wrong?)

Well Passage runs between this road and Well Walk . A reminder of the days when Hampstead was a fashionable spa.

Highgate, N6.
As this is the next turning off South Grove after Swains (or swine's) lane, it's tempting to make the association with pigs. This is, of course, a complete irrelevance and the name actually relates to Sir Francis Bacon who died in nearby Arundel House in 1626.
