Crossing Rannoch Moor Towards Glencoe

28 Aug 2013 1 230
From Loch Ettrick we moved on North, round Glasgow and the grockle traps of Loch Lomond, across Rannoch Moor to Glen Etive. The warm damp atmosphere was absolute heaven for the midges so out came the ‘Avon Skin So Soft’ in an effort to even the balance. This was the first time we had tried this remedy, which did stop them nibbling but did not deflect the regiments of the wee beasties.
