We picked up our daughter from school and straight way high tailed it up through England, over the border to Loch Ettrick in the Forest of Ae, Dumfries. Aiming to remove ourselves from cilivilisation as soon as reasonably possible. Next morning was overcast with a soft drizzle but this did not dampen the gentle beauty of the loch. Flowers that were beginning to recede at home in Cornwall were just coming into full bloom.
