Loch of the Lowes

A beautiful loch but but very restrictive. While understanding the need for osprey security, the regeme does not make for a somewhat 'open prison' atmosphere so it does not feel particularly welcoming for the friendly visitor.

Loch Assynt

07 Sep 2013 1 3 355
We arrived at Loch Assynt on a dim, dark, mizzly evening where only the midges and a few brave souls were out and about. Every now and again the weather brightened slightly before returning to dimness. So we made the best of it, had dinner and moved on to Tarbet.
