Around dusk last night I realized I hadn't taken a photo of the day, so I ran out to shoot something...anything! We haven't mowed the lawn yet and the weeds are crazy, so this yellow thing-a-ma-bob became my subject. Shooting without a flash made the photo grainy and gave it a double exposure (my hands aren't that steady), but the flash certainly brought out the brilliant yellow of the flowers and darkened the background to utter blackness. These I refer to as "learning experiences".

Bah, humbug. I hate this time of the year; by the time I get home, the light is almost gone, and venturing forth outside the house for a photo-op is nigh impossible. Or at least frustrating. Mornings right now are too iffy - rifle season just opened, and all the places I usually go have been invaded by hunters. *sigh*
