Guess I won't be having this tree cut down just yet.

Caught this snapping turtle digging a nest near the edge of a small swampy area. I was worried she'd wander into the road since she couldn't see, but when she was done she turned and slid down the embankment and into the water, and the clod of dirt slid off her head.

After being driven near mad listening to the sap sucker nestlings incessant chirping for the last few weeks (the nest is over our cook out area), we were shocked to realize they'd flown the nest yesterday. Ahhhhhh, silence! So golden! Wait a minute...are those birds building another nest? Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

A little fuzzy because I was shooting through the screen door.
