I was snapping pictures at the docks on Wolfeboro Bay when this little girl ran up and asked me if I wanted to take a picture of her catch. What could I do? I love kids, love fishing, love taking pictures...all signs pointed to immortalizing this moment in time.

As you leave the Castle you can stop at the barn for a trail ride or to visit Zeus the giant horse, stop at the little food hut for a hot dog or ice cream, or pause beside the trout pond and feed the giant trout. And I mean GIANT - holy hat, these fish are massive.

The husband went ice fishing with a friend and brought home a decent catch; a bass, a couple pickerel, and some johnny roaches (aka yellow perch) for the crows. I just love the pattern on those pickerel!

One of "our" crows making off with the remnants of a fish. We put out food for the crows all year long - those are the only birds we feed. Yeah, songbirds are pretty, but the crows are an excellent low cost alarm system! They constantly warn us if a predator (two or four legged) is on the property. We love our thieves!
