My cucumber plants are beginning to show signs of stress from the drought. I water when I can, but I'm not sure how much my well can take, so it's sporadic. There are two basil plants (Dolce Fresca and Thai) in the front tank that are doing amazing despite the lack of water.

I'm either going to have to bite the bullet and drill drain holes in my cauldron, or use it as another water feature. Even in this drought, it holds water like crazy.

I've been collecting rusty old containers and other junk to add to my container garden collection.

An old New England adage goes "plant in April for peas by the 4th (of July)". Never fails!

Cukes are planted in the back tank and will hopefully vine up and over the arch. Radish and basil are in the front tank, and beefsteak tomatoes are in the smaller pots.

My cucumber arch! I've always wanted to try this. I made the arch out of a couple pieces of plastic water pipe I had lying around and a section of woven wire fence zip tied between them.

I've gone crazy with the container gardening again. This oversized cauldron was given to me and I really didn't want to drill drain holes in it, but after trying to grow hot peppers, sweet peppers, and amaranth in it with no success, I guess I'll have to. Everything just drowned every time I watered.
