Apparently this February has been one of the warmest on record for this area. Not complaining after the bitter cold of January! It was so warm on this evening - nearly 60*F - that the cats and I spent a little time on the porch, just enjoying it all. I'm looking forward to spring proper.

An attempted night shot. I'm not that good at this type of photography, but it was fun trying.

Working on my tree for Christmas 2016. This year I'm going in a different direction; smaller tree, minimalism, and a bit of quirk.

My sad attempt to get a shot of the rising full moon and a car drove by. Very cool.

Jack & Tawanda are out of storage and making mischief just in time for Halloween! This year they've escaped the attic and are locked in a forever tango under the stars.

So this is interesting...after I uploaded this same photo to my Facebook account, I noticed the shadow at the door. When I took the photo, I made sure there was nobody in front of the store. I'm trying to figure out what caused this one shadow, because it really looks like a person walking up the stairs, but that can't be. There is nothing in the middle of the walkway. It could be a shadow cast from the pile of stuff on the right, but I didn't use a flash...I'm stumped. My other photos from that night don't show this blob, so it isn't a smudge on the camera or dust.

Our fifth Christmas in the "new" house, and this is the first time I've attempted to decorate. Shame on me.

We added a sad tree to our underwhelming porch display. Woot!
