Tom Otterness (born 1952) is an American sculptor best known as one of America’s most prolific public artists.[1] Otterness's works adorn parks, plazas, subway stations, libraries, courthouses and museums in New York City—most notably in Rockefeller Park in Battery Park City[2] and Life Underground in the 14th Street – Eighth Avenue New York City Subway station—and other cities around the world. He contributed a balloon (a giant upside-down Humpty Dumpty) to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.[3][4] In 1994 he was elected as a member of the National Academy Museum.[5]

Art at the Stutz

I liked what this artist was doing, but I sure would not of had a room big enough for any of his work! I didn't take too many photos at this year's open house at the Stutz building. A VIP reception had the main exhibit closed. They first told us it would be open at 7:PM ... and then 8:PM ... and I didn't wait around for it. Seemed like a waste ... the booth with the great barbecue setup in a room full of tuxes and evening gowns! :-)
