It's been heavily overcast the last few days here as Winter is setting in. The image is a little grainier than I would have liked, but the film has been expired for quite a while. On a side note - as soon as I stepped out of my car to take this shot, it started raining for the first time today. A closeup of an old Magicube flash cube. These were made for Instamatic cameras and didn’t require batteries to make them flash. This hasn’t been cropped at all, it’s just that with the 2x tele-converter and the +3 close-up lens, it allows me to get this close to a small object. It turned out grainy due to the expired film and I also noticed that this particular combination of lenses makes for a pretty shallow depth-of-field. This particular Magicube is a Sylvania Blue Dot Magicube - a classic flash cube brand. My old radio tuner that goes with my component stereo. Does anybody else still have these? I’ve had this camera for about 17 years and I just fixed it and used it for the first time tonight. I was also shooting with some long expired film. But it seems to have turned out all right.
