Nuts!

For The Sunday Challenge group, who's theme this week was "Metallic." It said to keep the processing simple this week, so I didn't do anything to mine. It's just a scan of a black and white negative - no post-processing effects whatsoever. This was the first Methodist church built in Illinois, in 1838. The picture was taken just before it was torn down in the early-1980's. It's an old scan and it was converted to black and white some time ago. Camera: Minolta XD11 Lens: Minolta MD Rokkor-X 50mm, f/1.2 Film: Kodak Kodacolor, 100 ASA 35mm Location: Norris City, Illinois, U.S.A.

The initial image of the mushrooms is detailed elsewhere, but suffice to say I shot them on Monday while lighting them with a tiny maglight shone through a 1970 Chevrolet Nova tail light lens. I then took the image into Adobe Photo Deluxe 2.0 and made it into the cube you see in the middle of the image. After I had the cube finished, I needed somewhere to put it. For the sunset seascape with the clear sphere, I used Bryce 5 and created a suitable background in which to meld my cube. After I had both pieces ready, I blended them using Adobe Photoshop CS2.
