I attended the Golconda Shrimp Festival back in 2017, hosted by the small town of Golconda, located in Southern Illinois. It is a street fair kind of event, with rides, food stands, a motorcycle show and huge crowds. It was quite enjoyable - especially the shrimp! Taken with my Sony Alpha SLT-a77V DSLR, on September 16th, 2017.

I love seafood, so I ordered shrimp and fries this visit to Applebee's. Taken on September 22nd, 2013, with my Sony Alpha a230 DSLR.

The term "succulent" seems to be used in all the seafood commercials I see, so I felt obligated to use it, too. This is a shrimp dish I ordered once at an Applebee's restaurant I ate at.

How about some Cajun cooking? This Cajun shrimp bisque was very hearty and tasty.

Some shrimp spread I made recently. It was very good on the white cheddar and rosemary crackers pictured.

With all this extra time on my hands, I've been cooking more lately. I've been making bread because I ran out of store-bought bread, and have been baking cookies once a week so I could have something sweet to nibble on. Tonight, Thursday, April 16th, 2020, I made this Asian Ramen Shrimp soup and it's more or less something I threw together from an existing recipe that I tweaked slightly. It uses Ramen noodles and tiny shrimp that comes in a can.

Here's the garlic shrimp after it was cooked and ready to eat. As I remember, it turned out good.

Just going through some of my old pictures and I find that there sure are a lot of food pictures. Man, is this making me hungry! This was some garlic shrimp I made on September 19th, 2012.
