We had a good turnout for lunch at the Evansville Rescue Mission last Saturday, December 20th. Some members from my church, The First Baptist Church in Norris City, Illinois, took some food over and cooked it. When it was ready, we served lunch to those waiting. They were quite appreciative and it was quite an experience. The church even collected up some stocking hats and gloves and passed out over 100 pairs to the needy.

Here is some of the members of my church getting ready to serve lunch at the homeless shelter in Evansville, Indiana. We actually had several members that came so we were able to fill the trays and then take them to the people sitting down in the dining area.

Some of the members of my church and myself took some food, cooked it and served lunch to some people at the homeless shelter in Evansville, Illinois. It was a real nice experience and several people came up and thanked us for doing it. We also gathered up some stocking hats and gloves to pass out to the needy. They really liked them for this time of the year!
