An Old Fashioned Christmas
22 Jan 2024 |
|
|
In Christmas times past, the family would gather around, Grandmother would get out her box camera and she would memorialize the moment with a careful snapshot of the day.
This was what my family’s Christmas tree looked like back in 1977. Somehow, the negative got a little fogged along the edges, but it lends it the look from times past. This was my fifth camera.

Cardinal Lane In Pinhole
22 Jan 2024 |
|

The start of the little lane across the street that goes around the houses that line the street where I live. It’s called Cardinal Drive. The reason the picture is crooked is because I used some cut-down 120 film and it's hard to tell in the dark when you're loading it if you got it straight or not.
Taken with my eighty-seventh camera.

Located in the heart of my town’s downtown area, this is the local flower shop. The sign in the window says "OPEN," but it was almost midnight on Sunday.

New Snowfall, 2.34 a.m.
24 Jan 2019 |
|
This was taken at 2.34 a.m., after the new snowfall we had been getting was starting to taper off. It was a long exposure, that's why it's so bright in the middle of the night.
