A fishing village built at the head of an inlet of Loch Fyne called East Loch Tarbert, on a narrow isthmus which connects Kintyre to the south with Knapdale to the north, It is known as the gateway to Kintyre! HFF and a large view for clarity please!

Uig on the Isle of Skye, On a stormy September afternoon the Calmac Ferry M/V "Hebrides" loads ready to sail to the Outer Hebrides. She was built in Glasgow in 2000. Burnham on Sea lifeboat launch crew return to the boathouse after lauching an inshore lifeboat into Bridgwater Bay, a tracked unit is required to cross the mud at times of low tide such as in this image. The sea defence required to hold the extreme tidal range can just be seen left of image and the notes show the position of the two rivers that enter the bay at this point.. The image is in 16.9 so a large view would be appreciated. HFF and a great but safe weekend from Somerset.

With sheep as it's only inhabitants Staffin Island serves as a backdrop to the fairly modern jetty constructed at Staffin Slipway, Isle of Skye which juts out into Staffin Bay. (almost too many Staffins) me thinks. Large may be good. Please take care and stay safe. HFF and a good weekend if you can.

Heat haze in distance as the Easdale Island Ferry arrives at Ellenbeich, Isle of Seil, Easdale is the smallest inhabited island in the Inner Hebrides. The harbour at Kyleakin which is on Loch Alsh, Isle of Skye proved a bit of a challenge with the bright sunlight in the harbour and having to shoot from the deep shadows of the rocks.
