A fishing village built at the head of an inlet of Loch Fyne called East Loch Tarbert, on a narrow isthmus which connects Kintyre to the south with Knapdale to the north, It is known as the gateway to Kintyre! HFF and a large view for clarity please!

Raiding the recent archives again, this is an image from the autumn of 2019, Loch Fyne at Tarbert in Kintyre and to the left of the image the slipway from which CalMac ferries sail to and from the Cowel peninsula, and to the Isle of Arran in winter,

Grey Heron on the look out in Tarbert marina, It's slightly noisy but it was captured on full zoom in very bright light. Try it large for full detail.

Fishing gear and the village beneath a mixed sky. Colours may be a little off but all should be back to normal tomorrow onwards I'm informed. In 16.9 so a large view would be appeciated.

Dickkie's Boatyard Winch, Tarbert, This winch stands in mute testimony to Dickie's Boatyard which was demolished in 2010. The winch drew so much power that the lights throughout Tarbert dimmed when it was in operation
