The parish church of St Laurence, Priddy, Somerset,
It dates from the 13th century, with some rebuilding in the 15th century and was restored in 1881–88; it is a Grade I listed building
Priddy is a small village on top of the Mendip Hills above Cheddar Gorge and the city of Wells.

Autumn on the Mendip Hills at Ubley Warren.
The rough and uneven ground is a result of lead workings which started during the Iron Age and carried on during the Roman occupation of Britain when mining activity significantly increased. Mining continued until the late 19th Century.
In 16.9 format so a large view would be appreciated.

Although it doesn't show in the image the right hand tree which is foreshortened gives an indication of how close the afternoon mist was getting,
Taken near Priddy on the Mendip Hills.
