I can't remember which station this is. Its between Moss Vale and Goulburn. Could also be Penrose. Any ideas??? March 1993

An XPT racing to Sydney at Marulan

Marulan station. The Train Radio gear was installed in a room of the station building, rather than a green hut, due to heritage considerations. See State Records www.flickr.com/photos/state-records-nsw/2869138776/ When first entered the room used was very dusty and appeared not to have been entered for many years. On a shelf on the wall near the door there was a hurricane lamp and an ancient box of matches. There was no electric light or power outlets. Bird on a wireless, Marulan. The train radio antennas used here are yagis rather than collinears due to the combination of terrain and tree cover. Sometime in 1994.
