A drum of steam oil for superheated locos!! We can now light up our nearly completed second loco, BB18 1/4 1037. This loco is in the background of the image. December 2023.

A 425gm tuna tin lamp. The wick is a piece of egg carton and the fuel is the unused oil. The photo was taken just after lighting as I was surprised that it actually worked. It burnt for 2 hours before the oil ran out. August 2022.
