This area is part of the old Port of Yokohama. These two buildings have been erected in the early 20th century with the origin purpose to use for customs. Destroyed by earthquake in 1923 and repaired until 1930, than requisitioned by American troops between 1945 - 1956, it finally has been reconstructed in the last decade of the 20th century to culture complex that includes a shopping mall, banquet hall, and event venues and expositions. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yokohama_Red_Brick_Warehouse
