The object on the left is a switch box for traffic lights; the City of Toronto has been having then decorated by artists, This one just has the same design all the way round, but it does brighten up the corner. Every intersection with lights -- a new artistic style for you to think about. The mailboxes are covered with postal codes, the idea being to discourage tagging, People still tag the grey bottoms, though.
