August 8th is International Cat Day , so allow me once more to advocate the adoption of adult cats. Kittens are cute, but the older cats have so much personality - and they of course deserve loving homes too. This was last year, when we first met Bastian at the shelter. He was 5 years old and in need of a new home... Today August 8th is International Cat Day and all I can say is: Cats do not end up in shelters for their own mistakes and there are so many wonderful cats waiting for adoption.
