This weekend I took the boys to a show arranged by the TICA club "Viking Cats" in Store Merløse. So far Bastian has only competed in FIFé, so this was his first experience with the TICA format, where the cats are on the judging tables more than once. By Sunday evening, after 12 rings and 12 finals, he had gathered enough points for the title "Quadruple Grand Master" . Over the two days the cats competed in 12 rings and met 4 judges, so it was a tough program for all. Bastian once more charmed the judges and won the title of Quadruple Grand Master. Rags already holds a Quadruple title, so he needed a win in a final to advance any further. This time competition was too hard, but he did his best and came 2nd in one of his finals... Few cats would do this in front of a complete stranger, but with judge Åsa Broing Bastian pulled all the tricks - including rolling on his back for a good belly rub... This weekend Rags participated in a small TICA show at the shopping mall of our neighbour suburb Rødovre. Showing in the middle of a busy mall is always a very different experience as we get to meet and chat to a lot of people that would never go to the regular cat shows. Although we mainly have FIFe shows here in Denmark, the TICA federation is also active, and I very much enjoy this show format as well. This weekend the Danish Viking Cats club arranged a show and Caithlin did very well. In all she was judged in 10 rings over two days and qualified for 5 finals. This was what we did in the weekend. No wins this time, but Vickie Shields placed him in two finals and he collected important points for his next title.
