I have a lot to learn about creating art on my new ipad2, but this is at least a fair portrait...

Painted on ipad2 with Procreate (no photo involved)--an exercise in texture & playing with brushes that I'll print out & add to a collage underway. It did end up looking too much like camo for my tastes. Oh well. In case you're wondering, I made the dark straight lines in Procreate, too. I just laid a plastic ruler on the ipad2. My cat, Edgar Poe, swatted the ruler--making a slight jag in one of the lines. So he gets a wee bit of credit. =laugh=

Painted on ipad2 with Procreate--not based on a photograph. I know the composition is lame, but I'm making this up as I go along. I've never had an art course before. I thought I was going to do abstract art on my new ipad, but instead...more fish. 'Must have salt water in my brain. Come to think of it, we all have salt water in our brains.

A digital painting made in Procreate on the ipad2. Why make a Robert Rauschenberg knockoff (with colors & proportions changed)? Because I got a notecard of Rauschenberg's Airport: Cat Paws, 1974 and was really impressed by it. It used to be, when artists wanted to fully appreciate and learn more about an artwork, they would set up an easel in the museum and copy it. Also, it gave me a chance to experiment with a brush that kind of simulates loose-woven fabric and with combining digital painting & collage.
