28 days of fish: 13-16

17 Mar 2011 334
This was a mini-zine project I did for a swap: one fish picture a day for 28 days. Some are real fish, the others fantasy/doodle fish. Made with markers: Staedtler for the initial drawing and Prismacolor for the colors. I drew a flying fish on each of the 3 envelopes, but I forgot to scan one of them. I sure do know a lot more about fish now! I think the Ribbon sweetlips fish look kind of like bunny rabbits. =laugh=

I'm kind of scared of them , is the only way I can explain the fact that I doodled it in about 30 seconds, tops.

If anyone's wondering what happened to the black, curved, first dorsal fin on the Clown triggerfish: I didn't know it had one when I was drawing it, because I was working from a photo in which you couldn't see it for some reason--maybe it was lying flat.
