Sunday Challenge: Colored Pencils. This week's challenge posed a problem for me since I own only one colored (red) pencil. I asked an AI generator to create a row of colored pencils and then fiddled around in Photoshop Elements to create something interesting. Yellow colored pencils.1

This photograph was reworked from the photo of the witch (see insert) by converting it into an orb and adjusting the colors and saturation. If you look closely, you can see the filaments of the witch's hat as well as the witch's eyes on the side. When making orbs, one never knows what the result will be. TSC20211030 153048 (Summer 2022)

I took a fairly ordinary photo of a street scene in Nantucket, Massachusetts and converted it into a much more interesting orb that reflects the town. If you look closely, you can see the Atlantic Ocean, the harbor, gray shingled buildings, bright red doors, cobblestone and brick walkways, visitors with bicycles, Adirondack chairs, quaint street lamps and charming stores. This was created from a shot of window blinds (see note). Neon green was substituted for the white and then the polar distortion feature of Photoshop was used on the uncropped (6 x 4) image as if to create an orb. The edges were cropped to give it a rectangular, rather than oval, look. Not the Sunday Challenge: sliders PIMG 4512

The original image was that of a bathroom tile and suffered from lens distortion and a less than perfect white balance. It makes a much better orb.
