Cliffs of Moher, County Clare, Ireland
We arrived at the Cliffs of Moher as a storm set in. Rain was pelting us sideways and gale force gusts made it difficult to walk. I did not dare take out my DSLR so I used my cellphone to take these photos. My hands were so wet that the touchscreen eventually stopped functioning so I was only able to get off a few photos. It was quite a memorable time.

The city of Thira on the Grecian island of Santorini is perched high on a cliff. To get to it, one can take a cable car or walk or ride mules up the zig-zag path which appears on the left side of this photo. It is very popular with cruise ships.

The view from Oia

Oia (pronouced Ee-ah) is one of the most beautiful towns on one of the most beautiful islands (Santorini) in Greece. The town is situated on a high cliff overlooking a volcanic caldera that is now filled with water from the Aegean Sea. Because the views are so spectacular, many tourists crowd the narrow walkways to peer out at the water and to enjoy the charming shops and restaurants.
