Frank, the Goanna, at the Alice Springs Reptile Centre in Alice Springs, Australia. Frank wanders loose in the Centre and is not afraid of people. However, because of his size and the fact that he is a reptile, some people are afraid of him.
"Goanna is the name used to refer to any number of Australian monitor lizards of the genus Varanus, as well as to certain species from Southeast Asia. Around 30 species of goanna are known, 25 of which are found in Australia."

Snow leopards inhabit the mountainous regious of Central Asia. In the summer, they live above the tree line at an altitude of 8,900 to 20,000 feet. As winter approaches, they retreat to the forests at an altitude of 3,900 to 6,600 feet. They have an amazing leaping ability of over 40 feet. They are considered an endangered species.

The underside of the blue morpho butterfly’s wings is brown and there are several eyespots which provide camouflage against predators when its wings are closed. The blue morpho butterfly is named after the top side of its bright blue wings that are edged with black. The blue morpho one of the largest butterflies in the world. Its wings span five to eight inches.

Not the best time to be a spotted deer

Wild female tiger seen in Ranthambore National Park, India. While watching it, we saw it go into the tall grass. The grass shook and soon it emerged with a young, unfortunate spotted deer as its dinner.
