The Korean War Veterans Memorial was dedicated on July 27, 1995.
"The 19 stainless steel statues were sculpted by Frank Gaylord of Barre, VT and cast by Tallix Foundries of Beacon, NY. They are approximately seven feet tall and represent an ethnic cross section of America. The advance party has 14 Army, 3 Marine, 1 Navy and 1 Air Force members. The statues stand in patches of Juniper bushes and are separated by polished granite strips, which give a semblance of order and symbolize the rice paddies of Korea. The troops wear ponchos covering their weapons and equipment. The ponchos seem to blow in the cold winds of Korea."

Hanging sculpture at the Victoria and Albert Museum
"'Breathless' is a work commissioned specially from the British artist Cornelia Parker for display in the new British Galleries. It was specifically designed to fill the oculus or open space newly created between the two floors of the Galleries in a corner. It is made of 54 defunct brass band instruments which have been squashed flat and hung from wires. They are designed to be seen from both above and below, with polished upper surfaces and tarnished undersides. the work is an attempt by the artist to explore such ideas of duality as silence/noise, upper class/lower class, and death/resurrection."

The Terrace of the Lions in Delos Greece which was dedicated to Apollo by the Naxos people before 600 BC originally had between nine and twelve marble guardian lions along the Sacred Way. The remaining orginial lions have been removed to the Delos Archelogical Museum and what remains outdoors exposed to the elements are copies.

A sculptural detail from the Trevi Fountain in Rome, Italy. The The Trevi Fountain was constructed at the junction of three roads (tre vie) and the location of one of the aqueducts that supplied water to ancient Rome. Standing over 85 feet tall and 65 feet wide, it is one of the largest Baroque fountains in the world. It was built as a result of a commision by Pope Clement XII in 1732 to Nicola Salvi to create a large fountain at the Trevi Square.
