Near Ayers Rock, Australia. Thousands of dromedary camels were imported into Australia during the 19th Century. The advent of modern transportation methods eliminated their usefulness and many were released into the wild. There are now over a million feral camels in Australia and they are being culled because of their effect on the environment and their appetite for native plants. AIMG_6985
