While driving down the Pacific Coast Road in Costa Rica, a flock of Scarlet Macaws flew overhead and out of sight over the clift. We pulled over to see if they had landed. They had perched on branches of a fig tree at the base of the clift, making them almost eye level if we leaned way over on the far edge of the clift. AIMG_0424

While leaning over a cliff to photograph scarlet macaws in a fig tree, one of these beautiful birds flew below me across the Pacific Ocean's rocky shore in Costa Rica. I did not have time to set my camera to the correct settings to properly capture this bird in flight, but I was quite pleased that I did not fall off the cliff while shooting the photo.. AIMG_0438
