The Angel with the Lance is on the Ponte Sant' Angelo in Rome. The Ponte Sant' Angelo is a bridge over the Tiber River built by Roman Emperor Hadrian in 134 AD that connects his family mausoleum to the city center of Rome. The Angel with the Lance was created by Domenico Guidi and inscribed, "Vulnerasti cor meum" (Thou hast ravished my heart). AIMG_2528
