The Sunday Challenge: Photographing in the style of your favorite artist
I am a big Renoir fan. I asked Google's Gemini to create a "photo" of Paris in the late 1800's showing the Eiffel tower. I boosted the pinks and added a paint daub effect.
Alas, this looks more like an impressionistic imitation than a Renoir. Renoir would not have used a square format among other things and would have been much more impressionistic. To see a Renoir painting that incorporated the Eiffel Tower, check out www.creativefabrica.com/product/renoir-bistro-couple-with-eiffel-tower-2 . That is true genius.

We visited on a rainy day. The lovely pebbles arrainged so artistically in the walkway were as slippery as ice and made walking up and down the town extremely dangerous.

The Promenade des Anglais ("Promenade of the English") is a promenade that stretches along the Baie des Anges in the Mediterranean Sea at Nice, France. In the latter part of the 18th century, there was an English influx during the winter months in Nice, A number of the wealthier ones proposed and funded a project to build a promenade as a walkway which would separate the pebble beach from the houses on higher ground.
