Smile

Ice Chips 2012 - Kloe Chanel Bautista and Tyler Harris. Although the focus is a little soft and the light was a real challenge, I was captivated by her smile as she set up to do a "head banger" or bounce spin in which her partner grabs her leg and swings her around with her head at times coming perilously close to the ice. The Ruins of Pompeii

22 Feb 2012 1 5 419
Pompeii was founded sometime between the 8th–6th centuries BC. After numerous conquests, it eventually became a Roman town. It was destroyed in, 79 AD when Mt. Vesuvius erupted. Most people are believed to have died by the searing heat (250 degrees C) and then were covered in layers of ash, which preserved the ruins. The eruption was documented by Pliny the Younger who watched it from across the Bay of Naples. The town was eventually forgotten about and it was not until 1599 that it was rediscovered during an project to divert the Sarno River. It was then forgotten about until 1748. Major excavations continued for years thereafter. AIMG_3250

Put on your thinking caps. Can you come up with a creative caption for this photo? How often do you see a pigeon with a hangover perched upon an astounded gargoyle? Cold feet If I shut my eyes, I can imagine myself in Paris What's that dripping down my left ear? Shot in Florence, Italy AIMG_3087
