For the Sunday Challenge: Eyes. Kitty was a stray cat that just could not stay away from my house. I had never envisaged myself as a cat owner, being quite allergic to most felines, but Kitty was the exception. When Kitty first came, he was so furry and vocal that I mistook him for a female cat in heat (now I know what to look for). I kept referring to him as the kitty who returned, and the name stuck. I eventually located his owner and returned him three times, but he just kept coming back. Finally, his owner offered him to me, and by then, I just could not refuse. Just look at those eyes. He eats and sleeps at my house, but I haven't a clue as to how he spends his days. TSCIMG 5880

Kitty is very camera shy and will not let me approach with my DSLR. However, he has no fear of my new Panasonic ZS-100 because of its small size. AP1000118

The Boudhanath Stupa in Kathmandu, Nepal was contructed in the 14th Century. It became one of the most important centers of Tibetan Buddhism after thousands of Tibetans fled their country following the 1959 Chinese invasion. This photograph of the top of the stupa shows the representation of Buddha's eyes. The symbol between them which looks like a question mark is actually the Nepali character for "1" which symbolizes unity and the way to reach enlightenment through the Buddha's teachings. AIMG_0515
