One of the furniture rooms in the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Saturday Self-Challenge: For this challenge we will be doing something a little different that involves post processing: create a photo that looks like it was shot 100 years ago. The subjects don't necessarily have to be that old, but use post processing to create an aged look, like sepia tones, vignetting, etc. TSSC20190722 130532

That sinking feline (Explored)

12 Nov 2017 22 23 396
Whenever I am in a rush in the morning, I have a sinking feeling that my cat will seek attention by jumping into the sink, thus preventing me from using it. The Sunday Challenge: Take a photograph of an ordinary everyday item(s) in an out of the ordinary place. A place where you would not normally find the item. Examples: A banana in a hot dog bun An umbrella in the shower A cat in a bird cage (only if the cat will cooperate and you have a birdcage) lol The sillier the better . Creativity encouraged!!! ****The added twist: give the photograph a vintage effect. TSCIMG 4298

Hartwell Tavern

08 Nov 2014 13 10 1000
The Hartwell Tavern in Lincoln, Massachusetts "was built 1732-1733. When Ephraim and Elizabeth Hartwell got married, Ephraim's father Samuel gave them a new house surrounded by 18 acres of land, as well as 12 other acres (30 acres total). The couple quickly began raising a family. In 1756, when the Hartwells had 9 children living in the house, Ephraim applied for and received a license to open part of their home as an inn. He and his family continued to do so until the 1780's." www.nps.gov/mima/hartwell-tavern.htm NTSC Sepia SIMG 0349A (Fall 2014)
