As seen from the sky garden atop 20 Fenchurch Street. "20 Fenchurch Street is a commercial skyscraper in London that takes its name from its address on Fenchurch Street, in the historic City of London financial district. It has been nicknamed 'The Walkie-Talkie' because of its distinctive shape. Construction was completed in spring 2014, and the three-floor 'sky garden' was opened in January 2015. The 38-storey building is 160 m (525 ft) tall, making it the sixth-tallest[citation needed] building in the City of London and the 12th tallest in greater London. Ajlun Castle - Ajlun, Jordan The Ajlun or Ajloun Castle was Saladin's fortress and base when he defeated the Crusaders in the 12th century. It was constructed in 1184 as a defense of the land held by the Arabs from the Crusaders. Over the years, it was enlarged and another tower was added. Under the rule of the Mamelukes, Ajloun was one of a line of castles and fortresses which, through the use of fire beacons and pigeons, could transmit messages from Cairo to Damascus within twelve hours. It was damaged by strong earthquakes in the 18th and the 20th centuries and is still undergoing restoration.. AIMG 3703

Cinderella Castle (Explored)

The Sunday Challenge: Either shoot something in a comics style or edit the picture to make it look like comics. Or do it in a pop-art style. Or just shoot anything that is familiar from cartoons: a Disney character, a toy etc. Or make a caricature out of something. I had an old shot of Cinderella Castle in Disney World that was obscured by people and a large street light. I posterized the edges, burned out the people and converted the street light into a moon. Magnolia time

Spring is a wonderful time at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. when the magnolia trees are in full bloom. This building, known as the Castle, was the first building of the sixteen building museum complex and was completed in 1855 out of red sandstone fto imitate a 12th Century Norman castle incorporating late Romanesque and early Gothic design ideas.
