Sunday Challenge: Colored Pencils. This week's challenge posed a problem for me since I own only one colored (red) pencil. I asked an AI generator to create a row of colored pencils and then fiddled around in Photoshop Elements to create something interesting. Two other attempts appear in the PiPs. Colored Pencils.3

This was created from a shot of window blinds (see note). Neon green was substituted for the white and then the polar distortion feature of Photoshop was used on the uncropped (6 x 4) image as if to create an orb. The edges were cropped to give it a rectangular, rather than oval, look. Not the Sunday Challenge: sliders PIMG 4512

Massachusetts Institute of Technology's 150th Birthday celebration. MIT is one of the premier universities in the world and emphasizes scientific and technological education and research. It was founded in 1861 and turned 150 years old in 2011. Celebrations included technological events, artistic displays, a gigantic 500,000 calorie three-diminsional birthday cake in the shape of the university and fireworks over the Charles River. The carnival ride looks innocuous enough when stopped, but for those brave enough to ride, the acceleration is real. AIMG_4025
